Bandar Sunway is a town in the Klang Valley conurbation in Selangor, Malaysia. It situated in the district of Petaling, Selangor.

History
Bandar Sunway was developed by Sunway Group, also known as Sunway Holdings Incorporated Berhad. Construction begun in 1986 to develop Bandar Sunway. Previously, Bandar Sunway was known as Sungai Way Tin.
Amenities and Accessibility
Over the years, Bandar Sunway has matured into a community well-provided with amenities. The township has numerous schools, colleges, a hospital, places of worship, and vibrant commercial areas. A shopping complex, Sunway Pyramid was established since year 1998. Sunway Pyramid was expanded recently.
Bandar Sunway is well-connected to the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya and the township of Subang Jaya and Klang via a network of highways, namely the Federal Highway, the Shah Alam Expressway, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), the North-South Expressway Central Link and the Damansara-Puchong Expressway. Bandar Sunway is also served by an urban-suburb rail link, the KTM Komuter.
Bandar Sunway has also become known as a higher education hub, with two large colleges in the area, namely Monash University, and Sunway University College, and The One Academy, an accomplished art college that won the ADreline awards for 2006. Other schools in Bandar Sunway are SK Bandar Sunway, SMK Bandar Sunway and Sunway International School
Sunway Medical Centre is a private hospital in Bandar Sunway.
Places of worship in Bandar Sunway include Masjid Al-Husna, which is located just opposite Sunway Pyramid and Masjid Al-Amin, which is situated near Masjid Al-Husna.
Public transport
Bandar Sunway is accessible via Metrobus, rapidKL buses and taxis.
rapidKL buses which operate through Damansara Utama are as follows:-
- U63 : Pasaramakota - USJ 8 Subang Jaya via The Summit Subang USJ - Pasaramakota
- U67 : Pasaramakota - USJ 8 Subang Jaya via Subang Parade (near Subang Jaya KTM Komuter) - Pasaramakota
- U76 : KL Sentral - Subang Parade (near Subang Jaya KTM Komuter) via Jalan Klang Lama - KL Sentral
- T623 : Kelana Jaya LRT - Sunway Pyramid - Subang Parade (near Subang Jaya KTM Komuter - Kelana Jaya LRT
Metrobus which operate through Damansara Utama are as follows:-
- 10 : Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock (Kota Raya) - USJ 8 Subang Jaya via Sunway Pyramid - Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock
- 13 : Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock (Kota Raya) - USJ 8 Subang Jaya via Sunway Pyramid - Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock
A monorail system had also operated in Bandar Sunway for several years following its opening in 2000. The system has since been shut down due to the expansion of the Sunway Pyramid 2.
