Band News is a Brazilian satellite TV channel. It was the second news channel launched in the Brazilian cable/satellite market. It is owned by Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação (parent company of Rede Bandeirantes – otherwise known as Band – and BandSports) and the namesake of sister radio network BandNews FM. Band News' format is not unlike HLN's daytime programming, with rolling news bulletins, updated every 30 minutes. The channel also broadcasts Jornal da Band (Band Evening News), one hour later the original broadcast on Band. Is the most watchted brazilian news channel out of the country.
