Bansdroni (Bengali: বাঁশদ্রোণী) is an eminent locality in South Kolkata. It is connected to the city with the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Road linking Garia in the south and Tollygunge in the North. The Kolkata Metro touches Bansdroni at the Bansdroni (Masterda Surya Sen Metro Station).
Bansdroni used to be a port during the 17th century when the Adi Ganga was the main flow of the Ganges into the sea(Bay of Bengal. The present remnants of this port are the numerous Rice shops that dot the landscape.
