Barbara Davis is the widow of Marvin Davis. Although the Davis' wealth exceeded $5 billion during Marvin’s life, it has recently been reported in multiple media outlets including Forbes that the majority of the family’s wealth has been lessened to a few hundred million, if that. After the death of her husband in 2004, Barbara sold their once opulent house for $46 million and moved into a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. It has been speculated that this was done to necessitate rapid income.

Barbara has five children. One of her grandchildren is Brandon Davis, the former boyfriend of Mischa Barton. Another is Brandon's brother Jason. Both of whom are regulars on TMZ, more due to their wild behavior than credit for artistic works.

It should also be noted that 2 of her other grandchildren are Whitney and Chad Davis. They are the children of her son Gregory (Greg) and his ex wife Kim Richards. On a side note, Whitney and Chad Davis are the only 2 people in the world who can say they are first cousins of Paris Hilton from one parent, and first cousins of Brandon Davis from the other.

Barbara is the chair-person for the bi-annual Carousel of Hope Gala in Beverly Hills that raises money for children’s diabetes.
