Now available on CD, this recording from 1980 is a pleasant piece of retro-Americana, with John McCutcheon proving himself a virtuoso on hammer dulcimer, banjo, fiddle, guitar, and autoharp. Indeed, the instrumentation is the album's strong suit. The weak link is McCutcheon's rather unremarkable voice.
