Barnham is a village and civil parish in the St Edmundsbury district of Suffolk, England. It is about 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Thetford. According to Eilert Ekwall the meaning of the village name is "Beorn's homestead". The Domesday Book records the population of Barnham in 1086 to be 36.
From 1808 to 1814, Barnham hosted a station in the shutter telegraph chain which connected the Admiralty in London to its naval ships in the port of Great Yarmouth.
There was once a Barnham railway station on a line between Thetford and Bury St Edmunds but this is now closed. A windmill in the village has been converted to residential accommodation.
