(b Turin, 18 Sept 1860; d Viareggio, 4 Aug 1942). Italian composer. He studied in Turin, Venice and Germany (with Rheinberger), and was influenced by Meyerbeer and Wagner in his operas (e.g. Asrael, 1888).
