Baron Cimetière

In Vodou, Baron Cimitière (Baron Cemetery) is one of the Guédé, a spirit of the dead, along with Baron Samedi and Baron La Croix. He is said to be the male guardian of the cemetery, protecting its graves.

His horses wear a tuxedo or tails and a top hat. They have expensive tastes, smoking cigars and drinking wine or fine liquor. They are just as crass as the other Guede, but ape polite manners and upper-class airs while doing so.

• Brave Guede: The doorman between the world of the living and the afterlife, guardian of the cemetery gate. He keeps the dead in and the living out.
