Baron Maltravers

Wikipedia: Baron Maltravers

The title Baron Mautravers was created in the Peerage of England on January 25, 1330, by writ of summons, for John Mautravers. It went into abeyance on his death in 1364; this was terminated by the death of his granddaughter Joan Mautravers without issue c. 1383, leaving her sister Eleanor Maltravers sole heir. The barony later became a subsidiary title of the Earl of Arundel and subsequently the Duke of Norfolk.
