Biography

Hardcore punk revivalists Bars formed in 2002. The Boston quintet, led by fiery vocalist Kevin Baker, cite the Dead Boys and Entombed as influences, and have been favorably compared to Black Flag and Discharge. Their raw, no-frills D.I.Y. sound captured the attention of Equal Vision Records in 2003, resulting in the release of their brutal ten-song debut, Introducing, in October 2004, followed by a nationwide tour. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
