Bartley is a village situated in Hampshire, England, within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park.
Bartley church is very unusual, in that it is made of corrugated iron, and painted green! It is called 'The Tin Church' and was build c. 1900. It has also recently been refurbished. Bartley Junior School is not in Bartley but in Copythorne. There is a pub called "The Haywain" (featuring the painting by Constable on the pub sign) which was a Brewers Fayre and is now a Carvery Pub. The New Forest Ice Cream parlor has closed and is now a care home, a small post office and set of shops. There are a number of entrances to the New Forest in Bartley, with cattle grids to keep the horses and other grazing animals in the forest. Bartley has a stream running though it called Bartley Water. At the heart of Bartley is Fourways Stores and Bartley Post Office. Owned and run by the same family (Mrs Iris Winkle & Mrs Johanne Hole) for over thirty years, Fourways Stores provides an invaluable service to the local community.
Bartley is in the civil parish of Netley Marsh, surrounding villages are Copythorne, Woodlands and Cadnam.
