The seven Batak languages are spoken by the Batak people in the highlands of North Sumatra, Indonesia. They use the Batak alphabet. The languages are,

  • Northern Batak: Pak-Pak Dairi, Batak Karo, Batak Alas-Kluet
  • Batak Simalungun
  • Southern Batak: Batak Angkola, Batak Toba, Batak Mandailing

There is also a Palawan Batak language, which is Austronesian but not otherwise related.
