The Battle of Castle Turjak (Slovene: bitka za Turjak) was an encounter between the Slovene Partisans, the armed wing of the pro-Allies Liberation Front of the Slovene People, and the pro-Axis White Guard during World War II. The Prešeren Brigade seized the castle from the White Guard village sentries, capturing 500 enemy soldiers and wrecking most of the castle.
