The Battle of Famars was fought on 23 May 1793 during the Flanders Campaign of the War of the First Coalition, between French forces under General Lamarche and Allied forces (Austrian, Hanoverian, and British) under The Duke of York. The battle was fought near the village of Famars in northern France, and ended in a victory for the Allies.
