Battle of Lang Vei

A battle on February 7, 1968, during the Vietnam War, at the Lang Vei Special Forces camp in South Vietnam. Located near the U.S. Marine combat base at Khe Sanh, which had been under siege by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) since January 20, the camp, occupied by Special Forces Detachment A101, was overrun by an NVA combined infantry-tank assault which forced the defenders to evacuate.
