The Battle of Mondovì was fought on 21 April, 1796 between the French army of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Kingdom of Sardinia.
Bonaparte's forces numbered approximately 17,500. The Pietmontese fielded approximately 13,000 under General Colli
Bonaparte's initial advance was checked, but eventually French forces won the battle, and forced their way through.
