The Battle of Utica (49 BC) was fought between Julius Caesar's general Gaius Scribonius Curio and Numidian cavalry and foot soldiers sent by King Juba I of Numidia to aid Attius Varus. Curio defeated the Numidians and prevented reinforcements from reaching the army of Attius.
