Game Description

Fans familiar with Strategic Studies Group's Battlefront game system will feel at home with this SSI, Inc. collection package that includes Battlefront. There are twenty-two major scenarios from three add-on scenario packs (MacArthur's War, Panzer Battles, and Rommel) in addition to the original eight (Halls of Montezuma) that come with the basic game for fifty scenarios on the CD. Battlefront can be played solo against the computer or with both sides computer controlled. An electronic manual describes the "War Plan," for creating custom scenarios. In addition, each of the scenario packages includes one welcome scenario used as a tutorial to explain the vast number of commands, parameters, and rules needed to master this complex game. Battlefields are 39 by 28 hex grids in size and ground scale varies depending the scenario, with scenarios lasting for up to ninety-nine turns with phases broken down into four turns per day (night, am, noon and pm).
~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
