Bay (Somali: Baay) is an administrative region (gobolka) in southern Somalia. Its capital is Baidoa. It is bordered by the Somali regions of Bakool, Lower Shabele, Middle Juba, and Gedo. The Bay region is one of the most populated regions of Somalia and consists of the following districts:


Baidoa used to be the capital of the old Upper Juba region, which today consists of Bay, Gedo, Bakool, and most parts of Middle Juba (Jubbada Dhexe). Present regions were created in the 1970's by the then ruling military regime.
