Bayworth is a hamlet (it has no church) in Oxfordshire, England. It is located 3 miles south of Oxford, in the civil parish of Sunningwell. In 1974 it was transferred from Berkshire.
Bayworth is mentioned in a charter of 956, when the manor was given to Abingdon Abbey, which held it until 1538. There was a chapel in the village in the 14th century, but it appears to have fallen into decay by the 18th century. In the 17th and 18th centuries Bayworth was the residence of the Baskerville family[1].
