Game Description

Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em is one of the few adult games that splattered onto the Atari 2600 (and onto any console, for that matter). To put it delicately, you play the role of a pair of graphically enhanced females who score points for swallowing drops of an unnamed bodily fluid emitted from the sporadically moving male character above you. In short, he beats, and you eats.

By using the paddle controller, you move your ladies into position to catch his offering, with game play similar to Activision's Kaboom!. Each drop is worth a point, and you lose a life for every drop that hits the ground. You get four turns per game, with a bonus turn for every 69 points you accumulate.

The male character moves faster as the levels progress.

Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em has two game variations--game one allows you to control two females who move in unison, while game two only gives you one female to work with.

Beat 'Em and Eat 'Em is a pornographic video game developed for the Atari 2600 by Mystique. It was released on October 13, 1982. Although the game sold poorly upon release, its graphic nature has earned it a cult following and much infamy. It is often referenced as one of the worst video games ever made, a distinction it shares with other Mystique titles, like Custer's Revenge.

Gameplay

In this game, the player controls a pair of nude women who scuttle back and forth underneath a building as a man with a notably large penis constantly masturbating from the roof top. The player's objective is to maneuver these women so that they consume the man's semen (which is colored yellow in the game) before it hits the ground. When all the semen is caught, the two women turn to the screen and lick their lips. These game-play mechanics closely mimic those of a large group of games (e.g. Kaboom!) in which the object is to catch objects thrown by an ever-faster moving character. The game's objective is supported by an ad hoc explanation that "every [uncaught] sperm is sacred" (a reference to the movie Monty Python's The Meaning of Life) and "could have been a famous doctor or lawyer," which makes little sense as the semen is being swallowed and not used for fertilization. A score of 69 points earns an extra life, and every 69 points thereafter (138, 207, 276, etc.) earns an extra life.

Other versions

A gender-reversed version of the game was later released as Philly Flasher, in which the player is tasked with controlling two male prisoners with visible erect penises as they attempt to catch drops of breast milk lactated by a witch. When they catch all the milk, they masturbate and ejaculate.
