Rebecca "Bec" June Hewitt (née Cartwright) (born 23 July 1983 in Blacktown, New South Wales) is an Australian actress and singer.

Career
Bec has guest appeared on television series such as Police Rescue, Water Rats and Roar. She is also a dancer and has been since three years old.
She won her breakout role and best known role to date in 1998 portraying Hayley Smith Lawson. Bec became a series fan favourite and earned herself numerous Logie Award nominations until 2005 she earned a Most Popular Actress win. Bec left the series to become a fulltime mother which her preagnancy was incorperated into the storyline. For a short period of time Ella Scott Lynch replaced Bec as Hayley before shortley departing the series.
In 2002 Bec signed a recording contract with Warner Music Australia and East West Records. Her debut single All Seats Taken was released November 18, 2002 and peaked at 10 on the ARIA Music Charts and met with mixed reviews. Her followup singles On the Borderline and A Matter of Time both failed to match the same success both charting only the Top 30. The album was released June 16, 2003 despite high expectations charted only at 21 and was certified Gold. The album met with mixed reviews with Smash Hits giving the album Two out of Five stars. In 2004 Bec ended her partnership with Warner Music. No announcements of new recordings and an album have been announced of November 2009.
Bec was announced as a contestant in the first season of Dancing with the Stars. She and her partner Michael Miziner won the first season on November 23 2004. The couple returned in an opening performance in a dance routine during the second season premiere.
She hosted Abba Mania which premiered in November 2006 on Nine Network. The special met with controversy surrounding the only celebrity performers where Nine Network personalites with Bec's performance meeting with positive reviews.
Personal life
Bec had a four year relationship with fellow Home and Away Star Beau Brady and became engaged in 2004 till they split in 2004.
Shortly after the split with Beau she began a relationship with Tennis Star Lleyton Hewitt. After 6 weeks of dating, Lleyton proposed to Bec following the Australian Open Final. On May 5, 2005 the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
Lleyton Hewitt and Bec married on 21 July 2005. The wedding was at the Sydney Opera House and their reception took place at Taronga Zoo, and was given much media attention. Fellow actors and friends Ada Nicodemou and Kate Ritchie were bridesmaids for Bec.
On 29 November 2005, she gave birth to daughter, Mia Rebecca Hewitt, at Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital. Mother and daughter now travel with Lleyton as he plays tennis all over the world. In June 2008, after much speculation, it was announced that the couple were expecting their second child in January 2009. On December 11, 2008, Bec gave birth to a baby boy who the couple have named Cruz Lleyton Hewitt.[1]
In late 2008, to extend his tennis career and reduce the amount of travel, the couple relocated for the European and North American season to their future holiday home in the Old Fort Bay estate, in Nassau, Bahamas.[2]
