Beer Hand
This term usually refers to receiving 2-7 off-suit as hole cards, although it can also be used to describe 2-7 suited.
SoundPoker Says: This is considered to be the worst starting hand one can be dealt in Texas Hold’em. Because both the 2 and the 7 are low ranking cards, the odds of making a winning hand off the flop, turn, or river are very low. The cards are also too far apart in rank value to create a straight, and when unsuited the chances of making a flush are very limited.
