Behzad Ranjbaran
Behzad Ranjbaran (Born in 1955 Tehran) is an Iranian musician, composer and a master of Iranian music.
Ranjbaran was born and raised in Iran. He entered the Tehran Conservatory at the age of 9. Ranjbaran continued his passion for music at Indiana University. He obtained his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School.
With compositions for Joshua Bell and RenŽe Fleming, his international reputation has flourished. Global interest in classical Iranian art and music drives the interest in this important debut. Ranjbaran's rich orchestrations, exciting rhythms and powerful climaxes are balanced by lyricism and a delicate beauty. Persian Trilogy offers an instantly accessible fusion of ancient and modern, with fragments of folk melodies and modes. The exciting new relationship with the much renowned Maestro Falletta and the London Symphony Orchestra is another example of Delos' commitment to classical music, sonic superiority and exceptional new repertoire.[1]
He is known for Persian Trilogy which is a compilation of works he's done over two decades. Persian trilogy is inspired by the epic writings of Ferdowsi Iranian poet in Shahnameh.
