Belén Arjona García (Madrid, May 10, 1981) is a singer of Pop-Rock been born in Madrid, Spain. The influence of her music includes great names like Janis Joplin, Alanis Morissette, Skunk Anansie, Guano Apes, Ella Fitzgerald, Prodigy, Garbage, MUSE or Alicia Keys.

Biography

Oldest daughter of Rosa García and Agustín Arjona, she has a younger brother called Javier. She began to sing since it had reason use, according to her own words, and began to touch guitar and to compose songs to the 13 years. Student of history, arranged the studies with music forming at that time his first band. From that moment in ahead, Belén crossed the bars of Madrid touching its songs in hearing aid, until 2002 it was contracted by Warner Music Spain, after a performance her in a bar in which they were made an impression with her. In April 2003 its first album is published, O te mueves o caducas (Or you move or you expire), produced by Juan Sueiro, with a great success of critic and public, and with four singles: O te mueves o caducas (Or you move or you expire), Me voy de fiesta (I go away of celebration), Si no estás (If you are not) and Sangre en la nevera (Blood in the refrigerator). Music, with great electronic influences, great force in the guitars and letters of most many-colored: love, lack of affection, rage, sex, policy, mediatic manipulation, etc., turn it the front sight of a sector little explored until the date in Spanish music, although also receiving many negative critics comparing it with the Canadian singer Avril Lavigne. After an extensive tour of concerts, where Belén and its band (Yarka Miller - Guitar, Erny - Low, El Negro (The Black) - keyboards and programmings e Iñigo Iribarne - Bass) crosses Spanish geography and after being support band in some of the concerts of the successful ones Maná in his tour of 2003, Warner Music considers to reedit the debut of Belén Arjona in views of the great success that she is achieving with the little promotion which they have made of the album. Therefore, Belén Arjona records in May 2004 a concert in Sala Caracol (Room Snail) of Madrid. There, besides to make a concert with the subjects of O temueves o caducas, record those that will be the new subjects for the re-released of the album along with the audio-visual recording in DVD of the concert. In July of that same year, the re-released sees the light with which another cut, like the version of the subject of Aerosmith Crying (Y Lloré), of which the rights were not obtained until the second disc. The disc contains the original songs of O te mueves o caducas two new subjects, a version of Vivir sin aire (Living without air) along with on Maná to pair with its vocalist, Fher Olvera, and another titleholder Who holds your mother to you. The disc includes, in addition, remix of O te mueves o caducas expire and a version in direct. In addition, the re-released includes a DVD with part of the concert of the Sala Caracol, videoclips of the five singles, and some direct and interviews. Vivir sin aire becomes fifth and last single of O te mueves o caducas, and finishes for being one of the subjects more known Belén in the present time thanks to the fame of the original song. At the end of August 2005, Belén Arjona publishes her second work,Infinito(Infinitely), produced by the ex- component of Tequila, Alejo Stivel. There are three singles: Infinito (Infinitely), No habrá más perdón (There will be no more forgiveness) and Sola otra vez (Alone once again), although also it includes collaborations like the one of Iván Mur of the group Fábula in the song Cabaret (Night club), and the version in Spanish of the original subject of Aerosmith Crying (Y lloré), that could not enter the reedición of O te mueves o caducas by problems in the obtaining of the rights of the song. First single, Infinito, it is radiated in the transmitters of the country, but following the simple ones did not get to sound in the radios, although videoclips yes appeared in the different specialized televising chains. After a tour of concerts, between which it emphasizes direct of the room El Sol, and of which it received praises on the part of the specialized press, Belén Arjona receives a nomination to Latin Grammy in the category of better Rock disc by Infinito that did not get to win. At the present time, Belén Arjona is finishing her studies of history and her third album of study,Alas en mis pies (Wings in my feet), under the production of Fernando Montesinos, in its new record one Tool-Caes with new band, John Lanigan (her boyfriend) of the British group Lazywall and Rubén Villanueva of Ebony Ark in the guitars, Echedey Molina in the bass and Juan Carlos Gibaja in the low . Meanwhile, she makes concerts by all Spain, specially in Madrid, and collaborates with artists and friends like Efecto Mariposa, Ebony Ark or Síntesis among others.
