bellshare is a Voice over IP service provider based in Germany also operating in the United States. Their service offers free calls to other IP phones, chargeable calls to landlines and mobiles worldwide and geographical incoming phone numbers. Users may either use a piece of SIP client software on their computer or a hardware IP phone with the service. Bellshare also offers a BYOSip service, which allows to centrally collect different VoIP accounts for use from a single phone.

bellshare was founded in 2004 by Henrik Pfluger who already in 1998 created the VoIP software buddyphone. Buddyphone had nearly 1 million users worldwide.[1]
