'Belsazer'

‘Belsazer’, a ballad by H. Heine included in the Buch der Lieder, ‘Junge Leiden’, No. X of the subdivision ‘Romanzen’. It recounts in terse couplets the fate of Belshazzar as given in Daniel 5. The first edition used the spelling Belsatzar.
