The Belyando River is a river in Central Queensland, Australia. The river flows in a northerly direction, is joined by the Suttor River, before flowing into the Burdekin Dam and becoming a tributary of the Burdekin River. It has its headwaters in the Drummond Range east of the town of Alpha and is bounded in the west by the Great Dividing Range.[1]
The river was discovered and named by the explorer Thomas Mitchell in 1846 on his fourth and last expedition.[2]
