Belz Investment Company has quite a bit to do with what you might see while walking in Memphis, even if your feet are 10 feet off of Beale. The family-owned company, which goes by Belz Enterprises, develops, owns, and operates commercial, industrial, and residential real estate mainly throughout the Southeast but has really put its stamp on downtown Memphis. The firm is credited with the area's revitalization, which includes renovating and reopening the famed Peabody Hotel and designing the neighboring mixed-use Peabody Place. The Belz portfolio includes some 25 million sq. ft. of property, including office buildings, outlet malls, industrial facilities, hotels, warehouses, and apartment communities.

Belz Enterprises is a major American-based developer of hotels, retail, and commercial properties, including shopping malls.
Belz operates throughout much of the country. They are most notably known for owning and operating the Peabody Hotels in Memphis, Little Rock, and Orlando. In past years much of its operations have been centered on the development of new factory outlet-type malls and the conversion of some its older traditional properties into such. In recent years they have developed more traditional shopping centers including strip-malls and the new Peabody Place in downtown Memphis, commercial office, and warehouses space. The firm is based in Memphis, Tennessee. Ronald A. Belz serves as Chief Operating Officer.
