Skirting any great subtlety, this story about the redemption of a rotten city kid through good living on a commune in the countryside reveals a lot about Albanian culture. Young Beni is whisked off by his uncle to go spend a summer with him on the communal farm and work out some of the kinks that make Beni a neurotic city brat. His transformation is inevitable and slow, as the more truly independent rural youngsters are intimidating at first.
