Biography

Poland-born WWII hero Benjamin S. Fisz produced many British actioners, adventures and dramas between the mid '50s and mid-'80s. Fisz came to England when he was a teen and after the war erupted became a pilot for the RAF and the Polish Air Force. The exiled Polish government awarded him several medals for his courage. In 1969, he penned the screenplay and produced Battle of Britain, a chronicle of the RAF's courage in the face of the superior German Luftwaffe during WW II. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
