Benjamin Thompson (April 22, 1806January 30, 1890) of Durham, New Hampshire, was a farmer and businessman, and the main benefactor of the University of New Hampshire. Benjamin left the State of New Hampshire his Warner Farm and all his assets totaling $400,000 for the creation of an agricultural college on his property in Durham.
