Berberidopsidaceae

Berberidopsidales Doweld (2001) is a botanical name at the rank of order. This name is only newly published: such an order has been recognized by very few taxonomists. The APG II system, of 2003, merely mentions the possibility of recognizing the order, as comprising the families Berberidopsidaceae and Aextoxicaceae. However, APG II decides not to do so: it leaves the plants involved unplaced as to order, assigning them to the clade core eudicots.
