Bere Regis is a large village in the Purbeck district of Dorset, England, situated 6 miles north-west of Wareham. According to the 2001 Census, the village had a population of 1,797.[1]
The village is situated at the junction of the A31 and A35 trunk roads half way between Poole and Dorchester. The main road running through the village is West Street.
The village has two shops, a post office & two pubs, The Royal Oak and The Drax Arms. The parish church is St. John the Baptist Church. The local travel hubs are Wareham railway station, 6 miles from the village, and Bournemouth International Airport, 17 miles away.
Bere Regis is mentioned several times in the Domesday Book.[2]
