The District of Bern (German: Amtsbezirk Bern) is an administrative district in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. It has an area of 233 km² and a population of 237,919 (as of January 2005).
Its capital is the city of Bern, which contains around half the population. The district consists of thirteen municipalities:
