This describes when a player places a bet that is exactly equal to the amount of money that is currently in the pot.
SoundPoker Says: To "bet the pot" is most common in no limit and pot limit poker games. For example, assume in a hand of no limit hold'em the pot contained 1000 chip. When a player exclaimed "I will bet the pot", this means that they will bet 1000 chips into the pot.
