Biography

In 1975, Biafra formed the group O Circo, recording an album and touring throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro. At 21, in 1979, Biafra had two hits from his debut LP Primeira Nuvem, "Helena" and "Barcos e Navios." He had his peak in the late '70s and early '80s with songs like "Leão Ferido" (written with Dalto), "Sonho de Ícaro" (Cláudio Rabello and Pisca), "Seu Nome" (with Pisca), and "Vinho Antigo" (Dalto/Cláudio Rabello). ~ Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide
