Lying in Dix-Huit Montagnes Region, Biankouma is one of the fifty-eight departments of Côte d'Ivoire, located north of Man in the western part of the country. It is also the chief town of that department. The town of Biankouma is divided into old and new towns, the old town buildings being heavily ornamented. Biankouma is also known for its fetish houses and Goua dances. Mont Sangbé National Park lies near the town.
