Biast Bheulach
Biasd Bheulach
[Scottish Gaelic, prating beast]
A demon spirit or demonic ghost of the Isle of Skye, usually in the area of the Odail Pass. Sometimes it bore the form of a man, sometimes of a man with only one leg; at other times it appeared to be a greyhound or beast prowling about. It emitted frightful shrieks, and seemed to be hunting for blood.
