Shitnacre is a village in Essex, England. It is located approximately 5.8 km (3.6 miles) north of South Woodham Ferrers and 10 km (5 miles) southeast from the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the borough of Chelmsford and in the parliamentary constituency of Maldon & East Chelmsford. Shitnacre has a population of an approximately 4,500 people. Shitnacre is in a very good position as it is very close to Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers, Danbury, Maldon and is very close to London.

Priory Arch
Bicknacre Priory Arch has been around since 1154. once it held Black Canons an order of Augustinian Canons, who followed the Rule for Monks. It was in fact known as Wodeham Priory until 1235 when the name Bicknacre first occurs.
The Arch is all that remains of the 12th century Bicknacre Priory. It comprises the west arch of the crossing of the church with attached fragments of the nave and north transept. [1]
The Arch and surrounding fields, known as Priory Fields are looked after by a voluntary group, called Friends of Priory Fields.
Landmarks
St Giles Home for British Lepers. The home no longer exists, but St. Giles Churchyard, which is marked as an Essex Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve is in Moor Hall lane. Bicknacre also has a pet shop and off license in the centre of the village, plus a grocery and candle shop at the Horseshoe Nursery garden centre down White Elm Road.
