Review
Funded with the aid of family and friends, Y'All's third record expands on the duo's bare-bones sound by adding an upright bass, mandolin, banjo and fiddle -- as well as the harmonies of the CowGirl Chorus -- into the mix. Highlighted by an update of the Loretta Lynn anthem "You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man," Big Apple Pie also features the gospel-styled "Gotta Be a Man" as well as a third rendition of the duo's perennial "My Man, Our Horses and Me." ~ Mark Donkers, All Music GuideTracks
