Review

A 23-track collection of Dorsey classics, beginning with 1935's very Dixieland-ish "Weary Blues" and finishing up with the 1947 recording of his theme, "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You." Featured in the various lineups are the handiwork of Ziggy Elman, Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, Dave Tough, Charlie Spivak, Bunny Berigan, Buddy Morrow, and vocals from Frank Sinatra, the Modernaires, and Jo Stafford. Decent job of mastering these old 78s makes this budget collection a good value. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
