Biography

It is not really so surprising to have two musicians named Bill Johnson who recorded jazz on trombone -- there are probably even more. Not to be confused with the veteran hornman who was featured with Count Basie and on various Motown sessions, this trombonist is a Texan who has been recording since the '80s. His collaborations include work with bassist Pete Peterson as well as the Dallas Jazz Orchestra. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
