William "Bill" Kroyer is an award-winning director of animation and computer graphics commercials, short films, movie titles and theatrical films. Kroyer and Jerry Rees we're the main animators for the CGI sequences in Tron considered a milestone in CGI animation at the time and nominated for two Academy Awards and winning many others. Kroyer is the Director of the original FernGully: The Last Rainforest, and was instrumental in the development and production of Animalympics. His short "Technological Threat" was an Academy Award nominee 1988 and was among the first to combine hand animation with computer graphics.
In 1987 Bill Kroyer along with his wife founded Kroyer Films an animation studio located in the VFX/house which soon became Rhythm and Hues Studios. He became Senior Animation Director at Rhythm and Hues Studios.
