Bill Loehfelm

Bill Loehfelm is a journalist and educator in New Orleans who specializes in that city's vibrant music scene. His book Osama Bin Laden attempts to explain the life of an international terrorist to early readers. Loehfelm gives details of Bin Laden's early life and his dedication to the most radical forms of Islam. The book also explores the founding of al-Qaeda and how Bin Ladin has inspired a generation of young fighters to give their lives for his agenda. Osama Bin Ladin is an entry in the "Heroes and Villains" series published by Lucent Books. As John Peters noted in School Library Journal, "few readers are likely to sleep easily" after reading about this zealot's power and the scope of his influence.
