History

This 198-room casino-hotel was built by Michael Gaughan, opening in March 1979 at a cost of $11.5 million. Over time, this property, along with others owned by Gaughan would become Coast Casinos Inc., which would later be sold to Boyd Gaming Corporation.

The property was renamed from Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino on March 1, 2007 after it was traded to Harrah's Entertainment in a swap for a 24 acres (9.7 ha) parcel on the former site of the Westward Ho Hotel and Casino next to Boyd's Echelon Place project, the replacement for their Stardust property.

Bill's includes two restaurants, The Steakhouse at Bill’s and the Victorian Room, plus ultra-lounge Drai’s and the Lounge at Bill's. The management team from the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino runs the property's day-to-day operations.[1]

The name is taken from Harrah's founder Bill Harrah.

Bill's Players Club

Unlike other Harrah's-owned casinos, Bill's has an independent club and card, Bill's Players Club. Like Total Rewards, Bill's Players Club has a Diamond Tier of its own[2] that offers privileges not only at Bill's but at the seven Las Vegas Total Rewards casinos as well: Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Bally's Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah's Las Vegas and Imperial Palace Las Vegas. Players can redeem comp dollars earned at Bill's for restaurants and shows at those seven resorts.

Amenities & features

Bill's features 198 rooms (including 12 suites) and a 17,200 sq. ft. casino containing over 440 slots and numerous table games. There is also a poker room and a race and sports book. Bill's Poker Room is known for being the cheapest casino on the strip to play poker at with their $0.50, $1 no-limit Texas Hold 'Em game.

The Steakhouse at Bill's is the property's premier restaurant, serving dinner in a classic Vegas environment. The Victorian Room is a 24-hour cafe. There is also a Seattle's Best Coffee on site.

Bars include Bill's Lounge, with entertainment options like Pete Vallee in the afternoons as Big Elvis, karaoke and other live acts. There is also an after-hours nightclub, Drai's.

Bill's does not have a swimming pool, but its guests can access the pool next door at the Flamingo.
