Review

Billboard Top Rock & Roll Hits: 1958 features some of the year's biggest rock hits, including Elvis Presley's "Hard Headed Woman," Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire," and the Champs' "Tequila." The album also features Danny & the Juniors' "At the Hop," Conway Twitty's "Make Believe," and the Coasters' "Yakety Yak," making it one of the most consistent Billboard year collections. Other highlights include the Silhouettes' "Get a Job" and the Everly Brothers' "Bird Dog." Though the collection only offers 12 tracks, all of them are well-known and original recordings, both of which make the collection fairly worthwhile despite its short running time. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
