The Bini (also known as Edo or Benin) is an Edo-speaking ethnic group in Nigeria. (Other Edo-speaking ethnic groups include the Esan and the Afemai.) The Bini are the descendents of the people who founded the Benin Empire, which is located in South/Mid-Western Nigeria. They speak the Edo language, one of the many indigenous languages of Nigeria.
