An autograft is a valve that comes from the patient, usually the pulmonary valve. An autologous pericardial valve is constructed from the patient's pericardium at the time of surgery. Homograft (or allograft) valve that is harvested from a human cadaver. Porcine heterograft is a pig tissue valve that is sterilized.
