'Birkan' is a Turkish sesame variety bred by Prof M. İlhan Cagirgan of Akdeniz University using induced mutagenesis. It has probably largest seed size ever bred and tolerance to wilting in broad sense. The name in Turkish means "an unique/unusuall blood" and honors Prof Metin Birkan Yildirim of Ege University who is the major Professor of the breeder.

- Landskrona:- Landskrona was founded by King Erik XIII, ruler of Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and accorded the status of a town in 1413. Landskrona is the seat of the Landskrona Municipality in Skåne County, Sweden. The city was rebuilt in the mid-eighteenth century.
- Mölle:- The air in Mölle is clean and fresh due to fewer factories/industries and the offshore breeze which determines the air flow. Mölle is located on the slopes of the hill above the Kattegat Strait, is a coastal town in the province of Skane in Sweden.
- Stockholm:- Stockholm was founded around 1250, but its golden age was in the XVII century, when Sweden was one of the main European powers. Stockholm lies on the Swedish East Coast, between Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. The city is also famous for many museums. Stockholm is a vibrant water city, where we can find parts of Venice and Amsterdam at the same time. Moreover, its centre has a lot of parks and gardens.
- Gothenburgh:- Gothenburgh was founded by the King Gustav II Adolf in the year 1621, but it was developed largely by Dutch and German city planners and canal experts. The Swedes call it as Göteborg. The Göteborg region is one of the most popular tourist areas in Scandinavia
- Laponia:- Laponia is made up with several national parks in the northernmost part of Sweden
- Struves meridian:- in the northernmost part of Sweden is a four mountains bordering the Finnish border that were used by astronomer Wilhelm von Struve in the 19th century to measure the Earth's size and shape.
- Gammelstad:- It is an old church village near Luleå.
- Höga Kusten:- Nowhere in the world has the land risen so much after the ice melted after the last ice age, and you can see traces from the ice everywhere. Höga Kusten is a coast between Härnösand and Örnsköldsvik.
- Falu koppargruva:- It is historic village and mine, the oldest houses dates from the 15th century, that were part of the copper industry in Sweden.
- Engelsbergs bruk:- Is one of the world's most advanced iron works in the 18th century, where most of the equipment and buildings are intact.
- Tanum :- If you want to learn about life and religion of the bronze age then this the place for you.
- Birka:- Birka was founded in the 8th century, during the Viking age Birka was the most important city in Sweden. It was a major trading port and there are many remains from the Vikings.
- Drottningholm:- Castle and residence of the royal family. Beautiful gardens and adjacent buildings, be sure not to miss "Kina slott" and the theatre.
- Skogskyrkogården:- Skogskyrkogården is a very beautiful churchyard and chapel which was designed by Gunnar Asplundand Sigurd Lewerentz between 1919 and 1940.
- The Radio station in Grimeton:- This radio station from 1920 was part of a worldwide network and is now the only one remaining of its kind. It represents an important link in the development of our modern communications.
- Visby:- It is a best preserved city of the Hanseatic League from the 13th century, with more than 200 houses and a 3.6 kilometer long wall with 27 towers is surrounding the city.
- Södra Öland:- You will see remains from the iron age, meadows, and don't miss "Alvaret" in the middle.The landscape is very beatiful and varied.
- Karlskrona örlogstad:- it was founded in the year 1680, was one of the most efficient naval bases of its time. The whole city is preserved from that time.
- Finnhamn:- Finnhamn is the name of a whole group of islands, which have grown together into a magnificently beautiful archipelago landscape. The name Finnhamn dated back from the time when Finnish ships on their way to Stockholm used to berth here. You can wander freely along paths and small roads or rent a rowing boat.
- The Stockholm archipelago:- The archipelago used to be inhabited mainly by fishermen, but is now the summer retreat for ten thousands of Stockholmers. The archipelago outside Stockholm consists of more than 25 000 islands, from Björkö-Arholma in the north to Öja-Landsort in the south.
